There may be several reasons that you may not be able to bid :

1.   You may be disconnected from the server.  You might need to check your network connectivity if you notice the message showing that "You are disconnected" in the bidding room. 

2.  You may not have registered your details correctly for the bidding event or have missed out on providing the required deposit / banker's cheque for the event.

3.  The item is no longer in the list as it has been sold or called off/ auctioned off.
